Clinical Neurodynamics Lower Quarter

The Clinical Neurodynamics Lower Quarter Course is designed for professionals who want to better understand when the nervous system plays a role in musculoskeletal presentations.

During the course, you will learn how to systematically assess neural and musculoskeletal components, interpret your findings and use them to guide treatment decisions.

The course covers presentations including:

• sciatica;
• lumbar radiculopathy;
• nerve-root pain;
• deep gluteal complaints;
• hamstring problems with neural involvement;
• lateral knee pain;
• calf and Achilles complaints;
• tarsal tunnel;
• foot complaints.

The focus is not only on techniques, but on the clinical reasoning behind assessment and treatment.

What will you learn?

During the course, you will work on:

• neurodynamic assessment;
• Straight Leg Raise and Slump Test;
• testing of the tibial, fibular and sural nerves;
• Prone Knee Bend and Femoral Slump Test;
• nerve palpation;
• differentiating neural and musculoskeletal components;
• treatment of nerve-root and peripheral nerve presentations;
• clinical reasoning in complex cases;
• safe treatment selection;
• progression from symptom reduction towards function and performance.

Hybrid programme

The course consists of:

Online preparation
Approximately 14 hours of online education with 3 months of access to the learning platform.

Practical training in Amsterdam
2 hands-on days, totalling 16 hours.

Total study time
Approximately 30 hours.

Your registration includes

• approximately 14 hours of online education;

• digitally authenticated Neurodynamic Solutions Certificate of Attendance.

Certificate and accreditation

After successfully completing the compulsory components, you will receive a digitally authenticated Neurodynamic Solutions Certificate of Attendance.

The course is not directly KRF NL-accredited. Dutch physiotherapists may be able to investigate whether the programme can be submitted individually as “door andere beroepsorganisatie geaccrediteerde scholing”.

The allocation of accreditation or professional development points cannot be guaranteed.

What is the cancellation and refund policy?

If you are unexpectedly unable to attend, the following cancellation policy applies:

• If you cancel 3 months or more before the course start date, you will receive a 100% refund of the course fee.
• If you cancel between 3 months and 2 weeks before the course start date, you will receive a 50% refund of the course fee.
• If you cancel less than 2 weeks before the course start date, no refund will be provided.

If you are unable to attend yourself, you may transfer your place to another participant. Please contact us in advance so we can update the participant details.
